Sugar Loaf, Rio de Janeiro
The immediately identifiable emblem of Rio de Janeiro, the rounded rock of the Sugar Loaf juts out of the tree-covered promontory, rising 394 meters above the beaches and the town. The top is one of the first places to visit Rio and the harbor.

Cristo Redentor, Rio de Janeiro

Iguaçu Falls
At the point where Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina meet, the Iguaçu River drops spectacularly into a semicircle of 247 waterfalls that plunge into the gorge below. Just before the waterfalls, the river is limited to one-fourth of its normal width, making the strength of the water even greater.
